Online Reporting can be a convenient way for citizens to report non-emergency incidents to the police. In emergencies, call 9-1-1. Reports that can be taken online:

  • Damage to a Vehicle (NOT from a motor vehicle collision)
  • Theft Under $10,000
  • Identity Theft/Fraud
  • Lost Property
  • Theft from a Vehicle
  • Mischief/Damage to Property

If you are uncomfortable filing a report online, please call 1-866-876-5423 to speak with an officer.

Certain incidents cannot be reported online:

  • If it occurred outside of York Region
  • If you aren't a Canadian resident
  • Threats or violence was used
  • If evidence was left behind
  • If you know the suspect or have vehicle information

Filing a false police report is a criminal offence.
